Jane is an award-winning commercial director known for her cinematic intimacy, emotionally complex characters, and unflinching eye for the human experience. Born in Shanghai and raised in Los Angeles by overworked immigrant parents, she developed an early obsession with storytelling, psychology, and the quiet chaos beneath the surface—thanks to a childhood diet of horror films, whodunit TV, and emotionally unregulated media.

Her work blends bold visual storytelling with psychological depth, often exploring characters caught between ambition and unraveling. Whether it's a subtle glance or a full-blown spiral, Jane’s films excavate the beautiful mess of being human—with style, poetry, and precision. The throughline? Honest stories, immaculately crafted, that linger long after the cut.

Jane’s work has been recognized by Vimeo Staff Picks, SHOTS, Nowness, CBS, and BuzzFeed. She’s the recipient of multiple Clios, an Effie, a 1.4 Award, and was selected for the DGA + AICP’s CDDP Fellowship. She’s also a SHOOT New Director to Watch and a Young Guns 18 Finalist.
